The Alchemy project is a series of artworks about the alchemical research done during the previous centuries. The principal processes of operative alchemy are represented here from a symbolic point of view.

I was looking for a way to depict the different processes of operative alchemy.
The fact that cyanotypes are revealed solely by an invisible kind of light, (the ultraviolet range) was an enlightenment to me. As I was working on the project with conventional mediums, I understood that cyanotype was the only way for me to express my view on the subject. I discovered many correlations between the alternative processes and alchemy.

These cyanotype photograms are made on Arches Platine paper cotton rag, made at the Arches Mill in France.
